Cream Egg Brownies

Seeing as it's Easter Sunday tomorrow I thought I should do an Easter style blog post. I was searching on Pinterest for Easter related recipes and this one stood out to me as I am a massive fan of both brownies and cream eggs. In just 10 simple steps with a little time to spare you can be enjoying these festive treats too.
To make this brownies you will need:
♥ 185g Dark Chocolate
♥ 185g Butter
♥ 85g Plain Flour
♥ 40g Cocoa Powder
♥ 3 Eggs
♥ 275g Caster Sugar
♥ 6 Cream Eggs

  1. Preheat your oven to 180○C
  2. Melt your chocolate and butter together in a bowl over a pan of boiling water.

     3. Whilst the chocolate is melting mix together the eggs and the sugar (make sure it has thickened and has doubled in size).

4. Once you have whisked together the eggs and sugar mix in the melted chocolate.
5. Then sift in the cocoa and flour. (it is important to sift as this and the whisking is the rising agent for the brownies.

6. Make sure you fold everything together slowly (again this creates more air)
7. Pour everything into a brownie tin and bake for 20 minutes. Whilst your brownies are in the oven start to chop your cream eggs in half, use a warm knife to do this.

8. When your brownies have been in the oven for 20 minutes they will still be soft, this is when you place your cream eggs in (I managed to fit 4 on each row).
9. Put your brownies back in the oven for a further 10-15 minutes. After that take them out and cool.

10. Enjoy!

Eat with a cup of tea on your own or enjoy with the whole family. Whatever you're doing this Easter these brownies will make it better, every cream egg lovers dream.
